Leahy’s Birthday Parties

Looking for a farm birthday experience in Cork? Why not have a Leahy’s birthday party! Your Leahy’s birthday party includes entry to the farm, petting times with the animals, hold the snake and rabbits and explore the maze, climbing frames and go karts. These are only some of the activities for a fun day out. There are various options and deals to be got at Leahy’s Open Farm.

Option 1

Entry only €12.50 per child.
This includes your own guide for 3 hours, petting time with animals, ride on quad and barrel train, use of the indoor play barn, reserved table and seating while having your cake. There are 2 adults free with the party and all other adults are charged at €7.00 each. Under 2’s have free entry. To avail of this party rate you need a minimum of 8 paying children.

Option 2

Entry and food per child €16.50.
This includes your own guide for 3 hours, petting time with animals, ride on quad and barrel train, use of the indoor play barn, reserved table and seating while having your party food. There are 2 adults free with the party and all other adults are charged €7.00 each. Under 2’s have free entry.
Food options available for kids are, Chips and sausages/nuggets/burger with a drink or pasta with sauce and cheese with a drink. To avail of this party rate you need a minimum of 8 paying children. 

Option 3

Entry, food and digger rides for all kids €18.50.
This includes your own guide for 3 hours, petting time with animals, ride on quad and barrel train, use of the indoor play barn, digger rides for all the kids, reserved table and seating while having your party food. There are 2 adults free with the party and all other adults are charged €7.00 each. Under 2’s have free entry.
Food options for available for kids are, Chips and sausages/nuggets/burger with a drink or pasta with sauce and cheese with a drink. To avail of this party rate you need a minimum of 8 paying children. 

Option 4

Entry, food, digger rides and crazy golf for all kids €19.50.
This includes your own guide for 3 hours, petting time with animals, ride on quad and barrel train, use of the indoor play barn, digger rides for all the kids, crazy golf play for all the kids in the party, reserved table and seating while having your party food. There are 2 adults free with the party and all other adults are charged €7.00 each. Under 2’s have free entry.

Option 5

Entry, food, digger rides, crazy golf, party bags for all kids €21.50.
This includes your own guide for 3 hours, petting time with animals, ride on quad and barrel train, use of the indoor play barn, digger rides for all the kids, crazy golf play for all the kids in the party, party bags filled with little treats for all kids in the party, reserved table and seating while having your party food. There are 2 adults free with the party and all other adults are charged €7.00 each. Under 2’s have free entry.
Food options available for kids are, Chips and sausages/nuggets/burger with a drink or pasta with sauce and cheese with a drink. To avail of this party rate you need a minimum of 8 paying children.

Chocolate Making Party

€22 per child. Leahy’s will start off the party by showing you a demo on how they do their chocolates at the farm. They will then do a little history on chocolate and its origins. Afterwards they set you up to make your very own lollipops and figurines, while you wait for the molds to set, you will go out on the farm for a little adventure, will then return to continue the chocolate party, you will be shown how to decorate and package your own chocolates.

Leahy’s supply lunch for the party. The party must have a minimum of 8 paying kids and all kids can bring home what they make. The party takes 3 hours.

Birthday Cake

Ice cream cake made with homemade ice cream from Daisy the cow. €35 for 10 kids. €45 for 15 kids. Vanilla cake decorated with chocolate buttons, smarties and chocolate sticks.

Members booking a Leahy’s birthday party will benefit from special member’s reduced rates. Member’s parties will need 8 full paying children to avail of party packages.

Pre booking and deposit required at least one week in advance of party date.

For the Best School tour experience

We are based in Dungourney, near Midleton in East Cork. We have been providing School Tour trips around our farm for the last 20 years. A Leahys Farm School tour is educational, adventurous and seriously fun for school groups.

We provide fully guided tours and we offer the children hands on work with feeding the animals as well as interesting little stories about old machines and contraptions around the museums.

We have indoor and outdoor play areas, Climbing Frame, Adventure Trail and a Crazy Golf course, we also have a large maze, pedal go-karts, a huge selection of animals and lots more, we also have a large coffee shop where the group can sit and eat their packed lunch or we can provide a hot lunch.
There is a souvenir gift shop, if required by the school.
Experience a 100 year old dwelling house on a working farm and see the farm machinery operated at this time.

Historical and Educational Aspects

  • See the tradesmen tools, blacksmiths forge, carpenters workshop etc
  • Horse drawn machinery and the first means of public transport used in Ireland
  • See the Old Irish Crannog.

Involvement and Enjoyment

Children will help to feed a huge variety of animals i.e. Hens, Ducks, Alpaca etc

  • Play with the rabbits and mice.
  • Touch and maybe even hold the snake.
  • Our large maze is a real challenge to all the kids and teachers can try to find their way around too.
  • New to the farm this year, we have quad and barrel train rides for the kids, this is serious fun for all ages.

 

The prices per child are €10.50 and one adult with every ten children would be free, we offer complimentary tea and scones to all free adult in the group and your bus driver is also looked after in the same way.
For Pre Schools the prices are the same but there is one adult in every five children free.
The food prices are €5.50 per child (optional).

Price Freeze for 2023 and TY School Residential package “Ballyhass Bunkhouses”

We are committed to providing affordable educational experiences for schools, and will not be raising prices for our school tours for the 2023 season. 

We are excited to announce our new 2023 TY School Residential package “Ballyhass Bunkhouses”.

After over 20 years of experience in the outdoor industry with school groups, we have designed a new custom-built ‘Bunkhouse Village” specifically designed for your Schools’ residential trip. This will be an outdoor experience like no where else.

We do a selection of overnight packages.

  • 1.5 day & one night – €130
  • Two day & one night – €160
  • Three day & two night – €245

Our bunkhouses sleep 4-6 students and there are teacher pods/wheelchair accessible pods available. 

All meals are fully catered for (except lunch on day 1, Bring your own lunch). Now that we have accommodation on site it means they get more adventure activities with us which we are really excited about. 

Our Bunkhouses are pod-style camping bunk bed accommodations, (bring your own sleeping bags, pillows etc).

What’s included in this package:

  • Over x25 different land, water and height activities to choose from.
  • Evening activities right up until bedtime (floodlit lake)!
