HELL & BACK OBSTACLE CHALLENGE

– When you sign up your school for H&B, you will have the course to yourself!

– You will complete an instructor-led 5-7KM course over 120-150 mins (2-2.5 hours)

– Work together to go over, under, around and through over 60 obstacles from HELL & BACK and Ireland’s Fittest Family TV show 

– Includes Devil’s Creek, Heartbreak Ridge, Satan’s Pit, Tyre Zone, Hell on Earth, the Ramp and much more!

– We promise you a HELLISH day full of team building, fun and laughter!

Duration:

– 3 hours, usually from 10:00 to 13:00

– Times are flexible

Archery

Calling all hunter-gatherers…skill and precision are required – only bullseyes allowed here! Put your team to the test and see which “Hawkeye” comes out on top!

The Pit Stop

Mondello Park wannabees, sign up here! Hone your auto skills by changing a car tyre, checking the oil levels and topping up on wiper wash in our mechanic’s scrapyard!

The Basecamp East team will provide you and your class with a unique military-style Bootcamp School Tour. Every package is designed to motivate, educate and guide your class out of their comfort zone.

We offer a truly unique, student-centered learning experience based on real survival skills practiced by soldiers in the field. Our highly experienced military trained instructors will lead your group ensuring a hands-on learning approach that engages the student individually while also allowing team work and cooperation to thrive.

The concept of the day is a high tempo adventure that will take the group through a series of lessons and challenges in a circuit near the Knocksink Wood area (enniskerry road, 10 mins from M50).

School Tours at Tinahely Farm Wicklow invites visitors to share their passion for animals & farm produce.  The farm team are equally passionate in sharing their love of the land, the animals and the life of rural Wicklow and welcome pre-arranged visits by groups of adults, as well as educational visits by schools for guided tours of the Farm and Activity Centre Barn.

There is so much to learn about, and so many things to do, so visits can be tailored to suit your requirements.

Tinahely Farm are happy for tour guides, group leaders & teachers to come and visit in advance to explore what there is to offer and agree upon an individual agenda specifically designed to inform, interest and delight! Please note: All School Tours Must Be Pre-Booked

A typical Schools Visit to the Tinahely Farm Shop and Activity Barn

  • Arrival with a glass of home made lemonade and cookie and a chat with Philip on farm safety and an introduction by the tour guide.
  • Meet the farm animals and feeding time with Lily, Sam, Lennie, Pudding and Prunella the pigs.
  • Play time in the Activity Barn
  • Lunch Break
  • Guided nature walk and meet the rest of the animals
  • Final play in the barn and meeting back with the teachers/carers.

 School Tours & Nature Themed Workshops

Education, Nature and Horticulture is a large part of the Festina Lente ethos and they welcome school tours in Festina Lente Gardens throughout the year on Mondays & Fridays.

No better place to have your school tour! Gorgeous gardens provide a great venue for a fun and educational day out.

  • Choose from a selection of fabulous workshops and activities.
  • Beautiful and safe surroundings.
  • Ponies and terrapins.

Festina Lente has lunch time areas for the children, both indoor and outdoor depending on the weather.

All staff have been Garda vetted and have a child protection policy in place.

For Information please note that:

Groups must be accompanied by at least one adult leader (ideally one to every ten students).

Accompanying leaders must remain with their group at all times and are responsible for the conduct and behaviour of the group

Children are advised to bring full raingear, wellington boots and a change of clothes. As the activities are very hands on they encourage children to wear old clothes that parents don’t mind getting mucky!

Primary School Tours:
Greenan Maze Wicklow have been hosting school tours for nearly 15 years and have very experienced and friendly tour guides. A school tour at Greenan Farm Museums & Maze includes an educational, active and full day outing which includes elements of heritage and local history, nature and environmental activities, and age specific tours. We believe in giving a high quality tour and therefore only host two groups per day. Tours can last from 2 ½ to 4 hours depending on your requirements.

Attractions:
» Celtic Maze: large hedge maze, very exciting, kids love it!
» Museums: guided tours of 3 fascinating museums; Old farm life, Traditional farmhouse and unusual Bottle museum.
» Wild Nature Walk and Dragonfly Ponds: tranquil nature reserve with raised walkway, ponds, woodlands and wildlife.
» Farm Animals: pigs, horses, donkeys, lambs, chicks and more.
» Field Games: welly boot throwing, wheelbarrow relays, sack racing and sheep bowling!

We also provide undercover lunch tables and free tea/coffee for teachers.

We come back each year as we feel it is a super tour for the age group (2nd class.)
