Santa’s Enchanted House
Santa is back!! Ready to spread joy and hand out gifts to the little ones in his little cozy house! With his trusty helper and a mischievous Grinch watching over the fun, Santa will lead sing-alongs, tell stories, and make sure every child feels comfortable and brave.

Christmas Craft Market
Explore our charming craft market filled with unique, locally-made gifts—perfect for your loved ones. The market adds a touch of holiday magic to the festivities.

Pony Rides & Games
Your children can enjoy festive pony rides in the outdoor arena, filled with Christmas cheer and plenty of fun!

Face Painting & Crafts
Little ones can unleash their creativity with face painting and arts and crafts activities.

Cosy Up
Warm up by the open fires with a cup of hot chocolate, mulled wine, and other festive treats.

Enchanted Forest Walk
Take a self-guided walk through the enchanted forest to visit the Christmas fairies!

Our café is open on weekends, serving delicious goodies and nutritious meals in a warm, festive atmosphere.

Wreath-Making Workshops

Package 1 – Solo Santa Visit

Ideal for the littles ones, age 7 or under.

Visit Santa’s Aviation Wonderland at Shannon Aviation Museum.

Experience an aviation inspired Christmas. Get up close to real aircraft, cockpits, jet engines a fighter jet and more! 

On Solo Santa Tickets, we even have tot-size pedal planes and runway outdoors, great for pictures!

Bring your letters along, the crew will stow them aboard for express Jet delivery back to the North Pole! Don’t forget your camera, you can dress up Top Gun style and the crew will even take your family photo!

Flight Simulation is not included in this package.

Package 2 – Flying Santa Visit

Ideal for children over 7 years old.

Dress up Top Gun Style in your flight suit, and complete Santa’s Airport Flight Simulation (preflight brief plus 25 mins flying time)

Take off in your aerobatic Extra 300 aircraft, from a top-secret northern location on a classified Flight Plan to land at Santa’s Private Runway!

You have special permission to make a touch and go and do a few loop the loops, just for fun!

Look out for the runway lights shining as you approach, and keep a close look out for Santa’s Air Traffic Control Tower, Mrs. Claus is up there trying to cope with all the traffic around today! Now it’s time to head back to base, and make your best landing!

Then it’s off to Visit Captain Santa himself, do be sure to bring your letter, you can tell Santa what you want for Christmas!

Ideal for those who want to experience what it is like to fly a passenger airliner, take the Captains seat behind the controls of the most popular one in the world, the Boeing 737-800 NG. Experience the sights sounds and sensations of flight during an Approach and Landing into Lapland International Airport.

In the Wicklow mountain’s, a magical world awaits. The experience begins at the Candy Cane forest walk which is transformed it into a captivating Christmas wonderland. Along the trail, Santa’s Elves will entertain you at the Elves Workshop, the Grinch House, and the Christmas Post Office where you can post your Santa Letter. The trail is full of twinkling lights and Christmas decorations. You might even spot the Grinch hiding in the forest!

While children wait to visit Santa, they will be entertained by some naughty elves. When you meet Santa, you will get a special gift and you can tell him what you want for Christmas. You will also get a chance to meet some really cute Alpacas.

There will be lots of opportunities to capture some memorable photos along the Candy Cane forest walk, when you visit Santa or at our many photobooths. After your enchanted journey, enjoy delicious refreshments and seasonal treats as well as browsing the amazing gifts in the Farm shop. The Helix announce ‘Rapunzel’ as this year’s Christmas panto!

Running from 22nd November until 12th January 2025!

The Helix is excited to announce that this year’s Christmas Panto will be ‘Rapunzel’ produced by TheatreworX Productions. This magical production will take to the panto stage from Friday, 22nd November to Sunday, 12th January, 2025. Tickets are available now from www.thehelix.ie

With all the festive cheers and boos of a live panto audience, TheatreworX Productions return to the stage at The Helix this Christmas with all the wit, magic and fun. Promising to bring everything that you can expect from the most magical panto in Dublin, join the cast as they journey through the magical pantosphere of intrigue and adventure! With an exciting new script including plenty of twists and turns, ‘Rapunzel’ promises to be yet another hilarious production for all the family to enjoy with eye catching sets, song and dance!

Packed with talent, the ‘Rapunzel’ cast includes Caoimhe Garvey who returns to the Helix Panto stage playing the lead role, Rapunzel, Dan Miles as Flynn and Rua Barron as the panto baddie, Gothel. AIMS award winner and funny man, Chris Corroon returns to the panto spotlight as Dame Lola, while panto favourites including Aidan Mannion as Laurel and Brian Dalton as Buddy amongst many others return for this wonderful and hilarious adaptation.

Important Information

Are kids under 2 free? Yes they are but for a reason! They can not take part in activities as they are too young and they also will not get a pumpkin, only ticket holders get a pumpkin. You are welcome to bring the younger ones along for a walk around and a great photo opportunity in the pumpkin patch, please understand this event is designed for 3 to 12 year old’s.

Inflatable obstacle course may be cancelled for safety reasons if the winds are too strong, all other activities will still run unless a red weather warning is given and deems other activities unsafe.

In the event the event is cancelled for any reason, including a red weather warning, a voucher will be sent to you for the full amount of your tickets, you can use this voucher of any activity, package or event with us in the future.

Emerald Park Unveils Dino-Themed Easter Extravaganza

Budding dino enthusiasts can stomp on down to Emerald Park this Easter to enjoy ‘Dino Roar’, an interactive dinosaur meet and greet event! From Saturday, 23rd of March to Friday 29th of March, families are invited to embark on an exciting journey back to Jurassic times, with a range of dino-themed activities to entertain visitors of all ages. 

Located in Ashbourne, Co. Meath treasure family memories this Easter at Ireland’s only theme park and zoo. Access to ‘Dino Roar’ is included in all Emerald Park entry tickets, available now from www.emeraldpark.ie. 

The perfect family day out this Easter midterm, ‘Dino Roar’ will include four daily meet and greets where guests will have a chance to get up close and personal with Jurassic giants! Travel back in time and enjoy a dino-tastic meet and greet experience at the park. Families can get ready to roar and explore, immersing themselves in their very own pre-historic expedition as they meet the dino rangers, learn fun facts about their favourite species before getting their photo taken with Trixie, the giant T-Rex!

But the roar-some fun doesn’t stop there! An Emerald Easter Adventure will take place  on Saturday, 30th of March and Sunday, 31st of March. Upon arrival collect your Easter hunt map and get ready to hop, skip and jump for clues as you embark on a day out filled with eggs-ploration! Sweet treasure awaits with Easter treats up for grabs for everyone who completes the hunt, but that’s not all, guests who take part will also be in with a lucky chance to win 4 All Access tickets to the opening of Tír Na nÓg, Emerald Park’s first fully themed and immersive land which opens this summer!

School Tours at Shannon Aviation Museum

Aviation is a fascinating subject and children are especially curious about the wonders of flight. Our primary school tours are designed to introduce school students to the science behind flight in a fun ‘hands on, minds on’ format. Student’s will learn about the four forces acting on an airplane in flight and how airplanes are flown and controlled.

Now it’s time to test those theories during a simulated flying lesson with a real world pilot. Teams of two students work together to navigate a course around New York, with a few loop-the-loops and barrel rolls along the way. Then, take a cool guided tour of our Museum and experience 100 Years of rich Irish Aviation History!

Get up close to aircraft, cockpits, engines and memorabilia such as the Blackburn Buccaneer XX897 Fighter Jet, Fouga Magister CM170 ex Irish Air Corps,  Spitifre Replica & CFM-56. 

Duration: Approx 2.5 hours (depending on class size)
