Package 1 – Solo Santa Visit

€25.00 per child

Ideal for the littles ones, age 7 or under.

Visit Santa’s Aviation Wonderland at Shannon Aviation Museum.

Experience an aviation inspired Christmas. Get up close to real aircraft, cockpits, jet engines a fighter jet and more! 

On Solo Santa Tickets, we even have tot-size pedal planes and runway outdoors, great for pictures!

Bring your letters along, the crew will stow them aboard for express Jet delivery back to the North Pole! Don’t forget your camera, you can dress up Top Gun style and the crew will even take your family photo!

Flight Simulation is not included in this package.

Package 2 – Flying Santa Visit

€47.50 per child

Ideal for children over 7 years old.

Dress up Top Gun Style in your flight suit, and complete Santa’s Airport Flight Simulation (preflight brief plus 25 mins flying time)

Take off in your aerobatic Extra 300 aircraft, from a top-secret northern location on a classified Flight Plan to land at Santa’s Private Runway!

You have special permission to make a touch and go and do a few loop the loops, just for fun!

Look out for the runway lights shining as you approach, and keep a close look out for Santa’s Air Traffic Control Tower, Mrs. Claus is up there trying to cope with all the traffic around today! Now it’s time to head back to base, and make your best landing!

Then it’s off to Visit Captain Santa himself, do be sure to bring your letter, you can tell Santa what you want for Christmas!

Flying Santa Package suitable for over 7’s. Supervised at all times by our crew!

Package 3 – B737 Landing & Santa

€75.00 per child

Minimum age 8

Visit Captain Santa Claus & fly a Boeing 737-800 NG 10-mile Approach and Landing Lapland International. (10 min approx)

Ideal for those who want to experience what it is like to fly a passenger airliner, take the Captains seat behind the controls of the most popular one in the world, the Boeing 737-800 NG. Experience the sights sounds and sensations of flight during an Approach and Landing into Lapland International Airport.

This is an experience they will remember for years to come! Limited slots are available, so book this one early.

This option is perfect for the older child, making the occasion feel just as magical as it used to be, especially for the budding pilot!

Package 4 – Full Santa Experience

€95.00 per child

This package combines it all! Minimum age 8

All parents must accompany children throughout the Santa experience – Museum Admission applies. Parents are more than welcome to observe the flight simulators and everyone is welcome to take photos as they wish.

Our crew will kit out your family crew with flying suits for their Santa Visit, and Mom and Dad get to be Airline pilots for a great family photo before your visit to Santa in his Aviation Wonderland.

Adults accompany their children all the time, including while in the Boeing 737 Flight Simulator. Parents are also welcome to take photos and videos while their future pilots are at the controls!

School Tours at Shannon Aviation Museum

Aviation is a fascinating subject and children are especially curious about the wonders of flight. Our primary school tours are designed to introduce school students to the science behind flight in a fun ‘hands on, minds on’ format. Student’s will learn about the four forces acting on an airplane in flight and how airplanes are flown and controlled.

Now it’s time to test those theories during a simulated flying lesson with a real world pilot. Teams of two students work together to navigate a course around New York, with a few loop-the-loops and barrel rolls along the way. Then, take a cool guided tour of our Museum and experience 100 Years of rich Irish Aviation History!

Get up close to aircraft, cockpits, engines and memorabilia such as the Blackburn Buccaneer XX897 Fighter Jet, Fouga Magister CM170 ex Irish Air Corps,  Spitifre Replica & CFM-56. 

Duration: Approx 2.5 hours (depending on class size)

| Less than 8 – €37.50 per participant (Regular Aviation Discovery Tour Rate)
| 8-16 – €25.00 per participant

Elf Town is a 2 hour Christmas experience set over 3 different buildings with the magical journey itself set over 4 floors, where at the end, you and your family get a private visit with Santa who is the most realistic and authentic Santa you will find – The children will be amazed when he knows a little secret about each child.

This year, every child will receive an Elf Town branded gift pack with an official invite from Santa to Elf Town addressed to the children, our unique Golden ticket and a map of Elf Town. New to 2023 – Santa will also include a personalised postcard for each child thanking them for coming to Elf Town – something the grown-ups can leave on the tree on Christmas morning. This will come by post from Santa himself before your booking date. All included with your ticket purchase.

Santa’s Winter Wonderland 2023

Please note. Santa’s Grotto is in our play area Crazy Cave, it is not in the cave.

On Christmas Eve, some years ago, as Santa flew over Crag Cave in Castleisland with Rudolph and the reindeer, it started to snow. Fresh snowflakes are one of Santa’s favourite things and watching them fall gently on the sleigh, he got distracted!

Santa accidentally dropped a bottle of magic dust! 

It sprinkled all over Crag Cave and now, each December magic fills the air around us. So every year Santa returns to this special place with Rudolph, some of the reindeer and the elves to visit all the boys and girls at his Winter Wonderland in Castleisland, County Kerry.  

With a dash of magic dust, our Winter Wonderland experience brings Santa and Rudolph, Santa’s bedroom, the elves’ bedroom, the North Pole post box, polar bears, snow scenes and an animated reindeer ride to all our visitors.

I can’t wait! What will happen during our visit?

Each family will be able to visit Santa on their own in the grotto.

The elves will guide all the children and families through the Winter Wonderland.

Children can enjoy an animated reindeer ride and a complimentary one hour play in our Crazy Cave soft play centre.

Rudolph and some of the other reindeer will be outside enjoying the magic Crag Cave grass!

Santa’s elf will take a photograph of each family and it can be viewed after play time in the Christmas shop and purchased if desired. (Photographs are not included in the Winter Wonderland experience.) However, Santa’s elves are happy to take photographs on your own devices as you make your way through the Winter Wonderland.

Please note the play area is open until 7pm at the weekends and 8.30 on weekdays during Santa.

Our Garden Restaurant and Crazy Cave café serves delicious hot food, snacks, freshly baked pastries and a selection of teas and coffees. During the Winter Wonderland weekends, food will be served until 5:30pm. On weekdays you can enjoy a late evening meal until 6:30pm.
