School Tours at Brigit’s Garden Galway offers a wide range of activities for primary school children in Ireland.

At the heart of our ethos at Brigit’s Garden Galway is nature connection and environmental education for all ages. We offer spring, summer and autumn programmes for primary classes from junior infants to 6th class. All programmes are led by experienced guides.
Our seasonal programmes offer a wide range of activities from mini-beasts to woodland and meadow activities, and from seed-sowing to Celtic seasonal festivals. NEW Nature’s Power programmes – renewable energy in action for 3rd to 6th class. Click here for details.

All our programmes address key strands of the SESE curriculum and are activity-based using interactive and observational games, sensory awareness, music, drama, arts and crafts. Activities are held mainly outdoors with indoor options in wet weather, and all activities are age-appropriate.

Brigit’s Garden is a Discover Primary Science and Maths Centre. A DPSM certificate is issued to every participating school.

Our excellent facilities include

  • Four unique gardens representing the Celtic festivals, featuring sculpture, traditional crafts and native planting and local wildlife
  • 11 acres of woodlands, meadows and wetlands
  • A stone chamber, thatched Roundhouse and ring-fort
  • An enthusiastic and experienced staff and education team
  • A Visitor Centre with rooms, Café and Gift Shop
