Get ready for some festive fun this Christmas at EPIC!

It’s been a while, but Santa is making his grand return to EPIC for Christmas 2024, and this year he’s not alone.

Gone is the classic Christmas grotto; instead, the whole family will have to go on an adventure-filled hunt through the museum to find the Real Santa amongst a series of cunning imposters. The ‘Bad Santas’ are out to trick you, so you’ll have to work together if you ever hope to find the real deal in time for Christmas Day.

What’s Included:

  • A special Santa Passport to take on their adventure.
  • A series of magic Christmas-themed questions that only the true Santa would know the answer to.
  • An exclusive “I Found the Real Santa” sticker at the end of the quest.
  • A polaroid selfie with Santa to remember the experience.

Important Note

The hunt takes place throughout the museum and is suitable for children 4 years and above. During your visit to the museum your child will meet a variety of ‘Bad Santas’ (Rock Star Santa, Pirate Santa…). These ‘Santas’ will engage with visitors but will be clearly not the real Santa. At the end of your visit you will meet the Real Santa who children will have the opportunity to engage with along with the chance for a quick photo. Each child will receive a ‘I met the Real Santa’ sticker, no gifts or professional photo included.

Enjoy a truly magical visit to The Christmas Experience 2021 at Airfield Estate, Dundrum. Follow the global adventures of Ida, Flick and Myrtle the turtle, as they retrace their great-aunt Kitty’s footsteps, meeting Santa along the way!

Taking place on selected dates from the 20th November – 23rd December 2021.

Set across 5 acres in the surrounds of Airfield House, you can pay a flying visit to the Statue of Liberty, before taking delivery of your special gift during a private visit with Santa.

You’ll then drop into the Claus Café where you can enjoy fragrantly spiced wine or warm chocolate Jersey milk before taking a twirl on the vintage carousel.

Take a walk through the twinkling lights into Antarctica, before cookie decorating in the Elves Kitchen and learn the ancient art of origami in the far east. Peek into Santa’s Alpine Workshop where you can capture a family photograph* on Santa’s sleigh, and post that all important Christmas list.

Finally, before heading home, check in with Ida, Flick and Myrtle the turtle, who have arrived home at Ledgewood Cottage, just in time to open their gifts on Christmas morning.

In line with Airfield Estate’s sustainable, low carbon ethos our elves work hard to create a sustainable, green Christmas Experience for you to enjoy. They minimise the use of plastic and glitter, love to upcycle existing items into beautiful decorations, using natural materials where possible, even their iconic costumes are charity shop finds!

Christmas is not Christmas without a visit to Santa Claus at The Chocolate Warehouse for that special Santa Claus experience. The difference in the Chocolate Warehouse is that you enter a chocolate wonderland that makes this visit all the more special. Combining the excitement of Santa Claus and the surroundings of the Chocolate Warehouse will give any child memories to cherish for life.

A Special Santa Experience!

When you enter The Chocolate Warehouse you will be greeted by Santa’s helpers before entering Chocolate avenue viewing fabulous Christmas scenes along the way. Then you enter Santa’s house at the end of the avenue where you will meet Santa and receive a Christmas gift. After leaving Santa’s house you proceed to the Post Room to post your letter to the North Pole. In the Cracker Room the children have great fun where they can make their own Christmas cracker to take home. Many of these crackers end up on the Christmas tree. At your leisure you can view the Mini Chocolate Factory followed by a visit to the Chocolate Warehouse Christmas Shop.

The Christmas Shop Open From: 8th December to 23rd of December, Monday to Friday 9.30am – 5pm, Saturday 11am – 5pm & Sunday 12pm – 5pm.

Visiting the Christmas shop will tantalize even Scrooge himself. The shop is open to the public and will not only put you in the mood for Christmas but gives you the opportunity to purchase all those personalized gifts and last minute stocking fillers e.g. (teachers gifts, corporate gifts or simply all the loved ones in your life) It’s full of Christmas gifts, chocolates novelties, chocolate Santa’s, chocolate cars, chocolate footballs, hampers, teddies and goodies galore.

Ideal for Creches, Montessori, Cubs or group visits.

Christmas Fun for the Whole Family at Weston Airport, Lucan, Co. Dublin!

This December, 2 of Weston Airport’s aircraft hangars will be transformed into Christmas Kingdom; a Christmas experience for the entire family to enjoy. Entry to the Christmas Kingdom is free, the Santa Visit Experience requires a ticket, which costs €15 per child (adults go free!) The Santa Visit includes a festive train, live crib, Santa’s post box, Mrs. Clause and of course a special meeting with Santa himself with a gift for each child. Visit Santa Claus and his Elves at Ardgillan Castle in Balbriggan, North Dublin for 11 dates this December.

The beautiful Ardgillan Castle will host this fantastic event and this year there will be a VICTORIAN THEME. Visitors will be greeted by the Castle’s very own Butler who will explain to them what Christmas was like many years ago. There will also be a display showing the types of gifts the children would have had at Christmas back then. And outside the entrance to the Castle you will be able to view a Period Carriage – Santa is travelling in style this year!

Inside the Castle there will be plenty to entertain the children while they wait to enter the Grotto. Apart from the friendly Elves there will also be a MAGICIAN and rumour has it that Rudolf the Reindeer will be around to say hello.

Children will be able to post their letter to the North Pole via our special post box and they can colour in a drawing for Santa if they wish.

Tickets:

  • €17 per the first child to include a photo and €12 for each additional child.
  • Adults are free of charge.
  • Time slots must be booked in advance via our website.
  • Time slots will have limited availability.

Come and visit Santa at his Holiday house at Newbridge House and Farm. See where Mr and Mrs Claus enjoy thier Christmas Dinner with the elves.
Santas Elves and Helpers  will bring you down to Santa who will have a present for all children,. Then you can head out to have some festive fun on the traditional farm. A magical experience for all the family.

Then everyday from Saturday   17th Dec until 23rd Dec 
Morning Tours: 11.00, 11.20, 11.40, 12.00, 12.20.
Afternoon Tours: 2.00, 2.20, 2.40, 3.00, 3.20, 3.40.
Book your preferred Time and Date as Bookings cannot be change or transferred.
The farm visit must take place first before the last two tours of the day 15.00 and 15.20. This is because the Farm closes at 3.15 in the winter months. 
Please arrive 5 minutes before your visit time as once the tour has started you will not be able to join in.​

SANTA’S PLAYLAND & INDOOR MARKET – A MAGICAL CHRISTMAS PARADISE

OPENS SATURDAY DECEMBER 6TH AT THE AMBASSADOR THEATRE

One of this Christmas’ biggest events is here!

 Santa’s Playland & Indoor Market has taken up residence at The Ambassador Theatre, Dublin in preparation for this year’s festive season. Opening Saturday, December 6th at 10am the spectacular event runs until Tuesday, December 23rd.

And the great news is adults go free and there is no queuing for Santa!

Santa’s Playland transports children to a magical Christmas paradise. On entering Santa’s Playland children will be treated to a special Christmas play time. The Play Area is full of Christmas treats with bouncy castles, slides and Christmas displays.

This year Santa introduces his Indoor Christmas Market!

Of course, any visit to Santa’s Playland would not be complete without an audience with the Big Man himself and everyone will have the chance to chat to Santa and share their hopes and desires for Christmas presents. Every child will receive a present from Santa.
