Santa’s House Express 2018 – Ireland’s Best Santa Train Experience is back at the 5* Palmerstown House Estate this Christmas for its 5th year! We are so excited to have Santa Claus back residing in his beautiful Manor home for the weeks coming up to Christmas! Along with Mrs Claus, the Elves and Archie,  2018 will have many new attractions, performers and entertainment along with all of the old favourites to thrill old friends and new! Check-in and receive your Boarding pass for Ireland’s Premier Christmas Santa Train the and let your festive journey begin. Depart on Santa’s Polar Express Train through the beautiful grounds of Palmerstown House Estate till you reach the manor.

 Jump off the Santa train at Santa’s magnificent Manor Home and enter into the stunning, glistening hallway.. In Santa’s house you will be invited to step inside our all-new themed rooms, and meet some new characters before visiting Mrs Claus in her sitting room where she will tell you all the stories about looking after the main man himself.  Venture up the magnificent staircase and visit Santa in his reading room. Santa will greet & spend some time with you all & of course have a special present for all the boys and girls who were very good throughout the year!! Don’t forget to bring your letter!

A warm festive welcome awaits you back at our Guest House. Festive treats, lunch and dinner will be on offer if you wish to avail pre or post experience.

Say goodbye for now to Santa’s helpers in the village, and don’t forget to visit the stables where you will meet the Reindeer, our resident Turkey and their friends! Make sure to take a stroll through our Enchanted Fairy Forest, you might catch a glimpse of Twinkle!  Our festival funfair can be enjoyed by all ages in 2018 with unlimited use on our rides to all our Santa’s House Express Members (which you can join upon booking).

Visit Santa’s Journey – A Magical Train Journey in Roundwood, Co.Wicklow.

Are you ready to come on a magical train journey in the foothills of the Wicklow mountains? Then come along to Santa’s Journey, Roundwood. Co.Wicklow. As Christmas approaches, Santa, with the help of his industrious elves has created a magical journey in the foothills of the Wicklow mountains. This enchanted train journey sets off from Gingerbread Junction and arrives in Northpole Station where families will enjoy an audience with Mrs. Claus in her winter cabin. Families will then continue the journey to a special mini show with Santa’s funniest elves in his winter workshop followed by an individual meeting with Santa Claus himself.

All children will receive a complimentary gift from Santa Claus (provided they are on the nice list) and professional photography and festive treats will be available for purchase at this magical Christmas experience.

Santa’s Journey kicks off on Saturday the 24th of November and runs every weekend until Christmas in the beautiful grounds of Djouce Golf Club, Roundwood, Co Wicklow.

Tickets cost €12.50 for adults and €18 for children which includes a complimentary gift from Santa.

This Christmas, experience a winter wonderland of magical, festive atmosphere with Santa at Bunratty Folk Park.

As the excitment builds to meet Santa we have lots of games and treats to keep young minds active as they wait for their name to be called….then it’s into Santa’s Grotto to meet the jolly man himself, Santa Claus!

Take a spin in the Polar Express train, get active at Santa’s Little Helpers workshops and don’t forget about the fabulous Puppet Show

Also, Mrs. Claus will be in her kitchen preparing for Santa’s big trip, making sure that his clothes are washed and he has plenty of food. Join in and listen to the Folk Park story teller as he recalls colourful tales of Christmas long ago.

The adults aren’t forgotten about, with a complimentary glass of mulled wine and mince pies awaiting Mummy and Daddy in Corry’s Pub.

Admission times are:12:15pm, 1:15pm, 2:15pm, 3:15pm, 4:15pm, 5:15pm.  

Enjoy a magical time in the Athenry Heritage Centre’s Winter Wonderland with a one hour Santa Experience that includes a range of festive craft activities for all the family to enjoy.

Enter a world of Christmas fun and festive cheer where children can discover a place full of treats and delights which includes craft activities, the popular baking activity, make Christmas tree decorations and plant a spring bulb. All the activities are fun, inclusive and let the imagination go wild.

The Elves are waiting for all the boys and girls to help them enjoy their activities and Santa is waiting with a gift for the children to take home.

Parents of young babies and toddlers can also enjoy their Santa experience with morning opening times just for you. There’s a world of toys and festive cheer waiting for you and Santa has a special gift too. Doors open from 10:00am-12:00pm. No pre-booking is necessary.

Admission for the Babies & Toddlers is €10.00 per child and €5.00 per Adult.

The Athenry Heritage Centre is decorated in its unique and special way which brings home the spirit of Christmas and lets parents and children enjoy their visit in the ambient setting of St. Mary’s Church, Athenry. Children will be thrilled as they start their journey to meet Santa but remember there’s only 25 places per hour so book online or buy your tickets at the door.

Admission times are:12:15pm, 1:15pm, 2:15pm, 3:15pm, 4:15pm, 5:15pm.  

Tickets are limited to 25 children per hour.

Admission Prices: Child €15.00, Under Two €10.00, Adult €5.00

This year’s Christmas Winter Wonderland offers parents the opportunity to book online with Eventbrite where Mum’s & Dads can choose their times to visit Santa.

Please note all online tickets include a booking fee but it guarantees your entry time to the Athenry Heritage Centre’s Christmas Winter Wonderland.

Come and visit Santa at his Holiday house at Newbridge House and Farm. See where Mr and Mrs Claus enjoy thier Christmas Dinner with the elves.
Santas Elves and Helpers  will bring you down to Santa who will have a present for all children,. Then you can head out to have some festive fun on the traditional farm. A magical experience for all the family. 
Starting on the 10th and 11th Dec 
Then everyday from Saturday   17th Dec until 23rd Dec 
Morning Tours: 11.00, 11.20, 11.40, 12.00, 12.20.
Afternoon Tours: 2.00, 2.20, 2.40, 3.00, 3.20, 3.40.
Book your preferred Time and Date as Bookings cannot be change or transferred.
The farm visit must take place first before the last two tours of the day 15.00 and 15.20. This is because the Farm closes at 3.15 in the winter months. 
Please arrive 5 minutes before your visit time as once the tour has started you will not be able to join in.​

Santa’s Workshop at Aillwee Cave Clare

Santa Claus has been taking up his annual residence at Aillwee Cave in Ballyvaughan especially to meet children and their families since The Millennium. He works very hard as he prepares this unique event.

Along with Mrs Claus and his team of happy Elves, Santa ensures a very special personalised visit for each child. He arranges lots of exciting entertainment for all the family which continues right throughout each day. There is face painting, a puppet show and lots of carnival entertainment to be enjoyed.

Santa Elves are waiting with their LISTS of the boys and girls visiting every day. They will guide everyone along the cave passageways singing Christmas Carols all the way. Santa Claus with his helper will meet and chat with each child and of course have a present for everyone. Mrs Claus is there to greet the grownups with a glass of Hot Punch and a Mince Pie.

Santa’s train is available for rides all day long which will take you to visit the Birds of Prey Centre. There you will enjoy a complimentary visit to meet a Snowy Owl or a Happy Harris Hawk!!! Scheduled half hour flying displays are at 11am, 12 noon, 1pm, 2pm & 3pm for your enjoyment.  At The Birds of Prey Centre, Santa’s helper have prepared and stocked the Ultimate Christmas Shop with wonderful gift ideas for all.

A visit to Santa’s Workshop at Aillwee really is a unique, thrilling, fun filled day out for every generation of your family.

Santa and Elfie are coming back this December – with lots of extra fun activities! Conjure up the real magic and wonder of Christmas with Santa’s Christmas Magic at Brigit’s Garden galway! This year Elfie and Santa will be joined by Mrs Claus, Donny the donkey and lots more, to make a full Santa experience with the professional show as the delightful highlight of the day.

Santa’s Christmas Magic at Brigit’s Garden Galway is a wonderful family show with Santa and Elfie, his musical elf. There’s lots of music, fun, candlelight and Christmas magic!

Your visit will last approx 2 ½ hours, with Mrs Claus and other activities for the first 1½ hours, followed by Santa’s Christmas Magic Show with Elfie and Santa. Your ticket includes:

  • Complimentary mulled apple punch for all the family on arrival
  • Making Christmas decorations with Mrs Claus in the thatched Roundhouse. She has some funny stories about Santa too!
  • A visit with Donny the donkey, who wishes he was a reindeer
  • Santa Post: write a letter or wish for Santa by candlelight in the Crannóg
  • A Treasure Hunt around the award-winning Celtic Gardens to find Santa and Elfie’s lost possessions

This professional but intimate production features well-known Galway children’s entertainer Miquel Barcelo of The Troubador Mules as Elfie, and musician Dan Packard as Santa. The show takes place in the cosy surrounds of the Hazel Room in Brigit’s Garden.
