Easter event Croke Park Dublin – Hunt for Easter Eggs in Croke Park!

Join the staff of the GAA Museum on a special guided tour of Croke Park in the run-up to Easter….follow the clues and find the tokens to collect your Easter Eggs!

The Croke Park Easter Egg Trail departs from the GAA Museum at 11.30am and 1.30pm every day from Wednesday 23rd March – Monday 28th March (except Friday 25th March). There are additional tours on Easter Sunday and Monday.

During the tours, younger visitors must follow the clues and find the tokens to collect their Easter Eggs! Each tour takes a look behind the scenes at Croke Park including a visit to the Players’ Lounge, dressing rooms, warm-up area and pitch-side walk-way as well as a trip to the top tier to enjoy a bird’s eye view of the stadium

Easter egg hunters can also explore the GAA Museum by following the trail of Cluasóg the Irish hare- the leader of the new junior explorer route aimed at children between 4 and 10 years old.

There is also the opportunity to test hurling and football skills in the museum’s interactive games zone.

Easter Egg Hunts on Easter Saturday, Sunday & Monday @ 3pm

Easter egg hunts are always great eggcitment as kids go wild hunting and searching for all the chocolate treasures that can be found scattered around the farm. The hunts are on for the three days of the Easter Weekend, Easter Saturday 19th, Sunday 20th and Monday 21st April at 3pm each day, please get here before 2:30 so you don’t miss out.

Booking is required and can be done here, the entry is the same price as usual: €10 per person with kids under 18 months free, there is no extra charge for the Egg Hunt.

Easter Holiday Craft & Horse Camps for Kids 2018

We are planning two really brilliant Easter camps in Festina Lente during the Easter school holidays for children ages 5-11…  You can book each week separately or book the two weeks

Camp Week 1:  Monday 26th – Friday 30th March 2018 from 10am – 2pm

Monday: Off to the stable yard for a pony grooming session, then after the break, crack on with eggciting crafts! Make a brilliant bead sock bunny to brighten up your Easter. After lunch, search the gardens for lovely leaves and print a stunning spring leaf onto fabric.

Tuesday: After doing a pony riding lesson use air-dry clay to create beautiful Easter Egg ornaments, add patterns and designs and leave to dry. Make a fun and funky bunny mask before you hop off home.

Wednesday: Off to the stable yard for a pony grooming session, then up to the craft room to decorate your lovely clay eggs. Use craft material to make an Easter card for your family or friends.

Thursday: After your time in the stable yard doing a pony riding lesson, have some good clean fun and make some gorgeous handmade soap- choose your colour and an essential oil scent, then wrap in cellophane. Makes a beautiful Easter gift (hint, hint). Then dream on and make a delightful dream-catcher to hang by your bed to keep bad dreams at bay.

Friday: In with the ponies doing pony grooming then out to the garden! Bring the beauty of the Spring garden inside and make a fabulous table arrangement with twigs and daffodils. After lunch, search the gardens to discover the prize in our Easter treasure hunt!

Camp Week 2:  Tuesday 3rd – Friday 6th April 2018 from 10am – 2pm

Time to get arty!   Have fabulous fun with this cool craft camp…There are no pony activities during this week.

Tuesday: Dream on… make a beautiful dream-catcher to take home and hang by your bed to keep those bad dreams at bay. After the break, make a lovely air-dry clay hand, using your own hand as a template. Leave to dry. After lunch, search the gardens for lovely leaves and print a stunning spring leaf onto fabric.

Wednesday: Decorate your clay hand- use paint or decoupage to add some style to your clay hand holder. After the break its time to have some good clean fun and make some gorgeous handmade soap- choose your colour and an essential oil scent, then wrap in cellophane. Lunch is next -then a scavenger hunt in the garden.

Thursday: Take time for slime! Gather your ingredients, choose your colour and scent, and get goo-ing. After break –make and decorate a funky flower pot using decoupage and plant up with something nice! Lunchtime next, then- nature detectives are go! Take a gander round the garden and toddle up the trail to discover fauna & flora at Festina!

Friday: Feed the birds… make a fun bird feeder and some bird treats to encourage our feathered friends to visit the garden. Take a break, then create your own beautiful scented candle to take home. After lunch its time for treasure! Find the clues in the garden, work out puzzles and claim your prize in our brilliant treasure hunt.

Greenan Maze, near Rathdrum, Co. Wicklow are hosting an EGGSTRA WILD EASTER CELEBRATION with an Egg-cellent variety of BRIGHT SPRING-SHINE FUN activities for all the family.
