OWLS Survival Birthday Parties – Dublin

OWLS Survival Birthday Parties – Dublin can now be booked offering a fun day out for your children and something that your child and their friends are sure to remember for a long time.  Ideal for kids who love being outdoors, the OWLS Survival Party is a great adventure to offer children and their friends.  They’ll have 2 hours of fun in the outdoors, with the opportunity to play and create for themselves but also learning about their surroundings. It all takes place under the careful supervision of OWLS leaders and children’s parents.

OWLS Survival Birthday Parties – Dublin

The parties are based on the theme of survival and incorporate education, awareness, team building and enjoyment.  The group are given a challenge to build shelters using natural materials, light a fire to toast marshmallows or cook popcorn and also be sure that their team wins the forest games.  Teams must survive by hiding within their shelter or how about capturing a person from the other team?  It’s all great fun and the group finish the experience with cooked popcorn and singing around the campfire.

Leaders are Gardai vetted and follow strict guidelines when working with children.  For each event, at least one leader is first aid trained.

Sites: As this is an outdoor service, there is an option of two sites. Fitzsimon’s Wood, Dundrum (Southside) or Turvey Park, Donabate (Northside).

The OWLS leaders will provide the resources to run the event.  The childrens’ parents / guardians may provide refreshments should they wish to. From experience, most guardians bring along snacks, drinks and we finish off the party with a cake.

Fees; For the first 15 children €150, there after €250.
Other facilities: There are no toilets at either location although we can hire day porto loos, but this will add to the cost.  Portaloos are €100 a day to hire.

Our CUPCAKE DECORATING PARTY PACKAGE, is a fun and exciting way to celebrate your birthday where all supplies are provided. The VIPs decorate 4 cupcakes each with a variety of toppings such as:

  • marshmallows,

Our *NEW* PIRATES SEAL ADVENTURE PARTY, is a fun and exciting way to learn all about rescue seals in Ireland while also enjoying some Pirate fun.

What to expect

The first hour will begin at the Seal Rescue Ireland Centre in Courtown where all shipmates are welcomed with a guided tour of the centre to meet and learn about their seals. For younger children, in lieu of a detailed tour, there would be a short tour followed by a game. During the experience, the birthday boy or girl is given the opportunity to feed the seals or be involved in a feed of the seals behind the scenes. As a special gift, the birthday boy or girl gets to pick out their favourite seal in care and receives an eco-adoption. At the end, the group is surprised with a visit from Selkie the seal for photos.
The second part of the party will involve making your own way to Pirates Cove Courtown to begin your pirate adventure with the choice of one activity (Adventure Golf or Cannon Ball Bowling) for 1hr before devouring a delicious hot food feast fit for Captain Jack himself. Birthday parties at Rumley’s farm offer children and parents the opportunity to experience a real working farm.  Children will get the opportunity to feed and hold animals – both cuddly and large as well as a very varied collection of fowl -animals that children would normally never get close to.

The ethos of the farm is as much about learning as it is fun, so everyone who attends (yes parents included) are guaranteed to have a great day out.

The Main Event

The main birthday attraction is our tractor tour around the complete farm with a number of stop off activities to find out about the animals, feed them and discover how the farm works.  All activities will be tailored to the age group of the party.  While this is definitely a big hit with the children it is our experience that adults enjoy the trip as much as the children.

Things that usually attract the most attention on the tour are holding our day old chicks, camel and monkey feeding and of course a visit to our rabbit village.
