Here at Move to Improve our main mission is to enhance sports & activity participation among kids in schools.

We aim to tackle the current challenges our kids face today in meeting the minimum activity required to maintain a healthy lifestyle. Our school programmes are specially tailored to fit in with school curricula and also provide a comprehensive approach to physical development, teamwork, and personal growth, all the while ensuring a smile on each kids face.

At Move to Improve, we are committed to delivering exceptional school activities that empower kids to embrace physical activity, develop vital motor & social skills and grow a lifelong love for sports and movement. We will work in line with schools to create a positive impact on the kids physical and mental well-being.

Some of the worrying challenges being faced in schools today are, only 1 hour of PE time assigned per week, lack of quality in delivery, access to coaches and finally the over emphasis on specific team sports.

By choosing Move to Improve we can erase each and every one of those problems.

Move to Improve are currently offering School Programmes around the north east area including Louth, Meath, Cavan, Monaghan & North Dublin.

Founded in 2023, Move to Improve was created & developed by Louth senior footballer Ryan Burns. Ryan has graduated from DCU with a level 8 BSC Degree in Education and Training.

As part of his final thesis, he researched the importance of involvement in sport in school kids. Ryan’s vision along with everyone else involved with Move to Improve is to grow the number of kids involved in sports and active activities to as many as possible .
Driven by his passion for all things sport and innate love of children, Ryan has committed himself to inspire kids to love being active, therefore creating healthy futures.
Move to Improve is a fun based, active program that focuses on the development of kids vital motor and social skills.

Unique school tours suitable for all primary school age groups

Newbridge House and Farm is the perfect spot to host your primary school tour.  The traditional farm offers an up-close encounter with pigs, goats, ducks, horses, donkeys, chicks and much more, including an interactive Farm Discovery Trail for younger visitors.

Over 300 years old, the Georgian mansion is full of secrets and stories which the dedicated tour guides are waiting to share with your class.  Immerse your students in life back in Georgian times with an upstairs- downstairs tour, visit the Servants Quarters in the basement to see where all the hard work took place in the Housekeepers room, the Cooks kitchen and Servants Hall where they gathered for dinner. Our school tours of the house can be adapted to suit your class and curriculum.

A trip to Newbridge House , including entry to the Farm would require a minimum of 2 hours. Please allow extra time for lunches or time in the playground separately.

To kick things off, our Sing Factory sound engineer will explain how recording works, help with song selection and make sure everyone is vocally warmed up for the main event.

Sing Your Heart Out
Guided by our sound engineer, everyone will be recorded singing in our super sound-proof vocal booth. You can record in groups or as solo artists. The rest of the group can watch and sing along from studio through a control room window or via our HD big screen.

Your No. 1 Hit Record
After the session and post-party, we will supply you password protected song recordings which you can download and keep.

School Tours at The Stables Wexford

For our School Tour packages at The Stables, we offer a 3-3.5 hour session here.  We welcome you from 10-10.30am and invite you to have a light snack on arrival. At 11am you will start going around our Obstacle Course with some of our experienced instructors, for 1.5 – 2 hours. Afterwards you are welcome to use our Oats Barn for food etc which has lots of picnic tables available. We also have an Astro area where we have Soccer Goals, Basketball Hoops and a “Ninja Rig’ which the students will really enjoy afterwards. Special School Tour price is €20 per head.

The Stables is a family run business, based on their farm, just outside of Gorey, Co. Wexford.  

In 2011, they converted one of the old Stables into a Personal Training Studio in order to diversify the farming business. They saw the beautiful old building and the location of the farm as an opportunity to attract people to a less conventional gym setting, whilst still providing a high quality training environment. 

They have continued to invest and develop the business further over the last 10 years and are very proud to run this fitness and wellbeing destination. There are now 5 Training Studios, an Astroturf and a 5km Obstacle Course, with over 30 fun and exciting obstacles. 

As individuals, they are passionate about keeping active and love the outdoors. Along with their wonderful team, they are delighted to share this special place with you and welcome you to come and see what The Stables is all about!

School Tours at Blackwater Open Farm Wexford

We have numerous indoor activities such as our indoor pedal tractor track, Wendy house, & adventure playground, along with our outdoor activities like playground, pedal go-karting, climbing frames, zip-line & football pitch.
In addition to our vast range of rare breed animals, we have bottle fed calves, a display of various egg sizes, learn about where our food comes from and Jessie, the milking dairy cow. She’s a life-size model & each child will get a chance to milk her!

Get up close with the bunnies & guinea pigs, try your luck at a wellie throwing competition & make fantastic memories with your school pals.

The cost is just 10€ per child for unlimited time, a guided tour, free play time, handling of the small animals and a chance to milk Jessie. Two adults per 10 children are free. This includes a cordial drink and treat for the children, and tea/coffee for the adults.

We have indoor & outdoor picnic areas should you wish to bring your own lunch
