The Santa Express at Oakfield Park Donegal

The Santa Express in Oakfield Park is one of Ireland’s most famous festive events, and this year is bigger and better than ever before.
 
What’s new at The Santa Express 2024 in Oakfield Park?
Christmas Currency. Each member of your party will receive a Christmas token upon arrival. These can be exchanged for an item of your choosing. Choose between a hot drink from the Holly Hut, bag of sweets from The Treat truck, reindeer food to take home, an embossed Christmas card from the Green Room, raffle entry (for prizes such as family ticket to Santa next year), children’s charity donation where every token donated, is worth 1 euro. You can also club your tokens together for an extra round of crazy golf or make-your-own candle.
Real Snow Machine. Watch real snowflakes tumble across the piazza making it feel like the perfect fairy tale Christmas.
Christmas Crazy Golf. The Igloo has been transformed into an exciting Christmas themed crazy golf course! Suitable for all ages. See if you can beat Mo’s record.
The Biggest Christmas Tree in Ireland! It has long been an ambition to build the biggest Christmas tree in Ireland and this year we have achieved it! This magical construction can be seen from the train journey as well as with the newly extended Candyland, Toytown and Unicorn Kingdom.
Craft in The Green Room. New last year, The Green Room has been even more lavishly decorated and filled with new and exciting arts and crafts activities. We have real wooden logs hand cut into Yuletide logs for you to decorate.
A Sensory Tent, designed in conjunction with Letterkenny Autism Family Support group and situated in a new heated tepee to ensure everyone has an equally amazing experience.
New and Exciting Christmas Menu in Buffers as well as indoor seating. No prebooking required. Buffers have created a delectable Christmas menu, with cosy indoor seating and festive favourites.
Fun House Cabins! The fully covered cabins outside Santa’s grotto have been given a fresh makeover, filled with all things fun from bendy mirrors, old fairground games, and face-painting stations and the elves are prepped with exciting new games for all ages and abilities.
Interactive challenges, collect stamps to complete your North Pole Passport application as you progress around your Santa Express journey. The entire experience takes around 2-3 hours including a 45-minute train journey.

Walk through the brand-new tunnel of lights and feel the snow on your face as you emerge into the ambient Christmas village where The Santa Express train awaits.
 
Snuggled together in your own private carriage, you’ll be gently whisked away to Santa’s grotto through the frosty forest where there’s a festival of lights, the biggest Christmas tree in Ireland, Candyland and Toytown, and many magical creatures to see along the way.
 
At Santa’s grotto, the spirited elves invite you into in the freshly decorated festive Fun House to play before you meet Santa! Warm and cosy by his fire, he can’t wait to meet you and give you your special Christmas gift.

K2 Alpacas Santa Experience Wicklow

In the Wicklow mountain’s, a magical world awaits. The experience begins at the Candy Cane forest walk which is transformed it into a captivating Christmas wonderland. Along the trail, Santa’s Elves will entertain you at the Elves Workshop, the Grinch House, and the Christmas Post Office where you can post your Santa Letter. The trail is full of twinkling lights and Christmas decorations. You might even spot the Grinch hiding in the forest!

While children wait to visit Santa, they will be entertained by some naughty elves. When you meet Santa, you will get a special gift and you can tell him what you want for Christmas. You will also get a chance to meet some really cute Alpacas.

There will be lots of opportunities to capture some memorable photos along the Candy Cane forest walk, when you visit Santa or at our many photobooths. After your enchanted journey, enjoy delicious refreshments and seasonal treats as well as browsing the amazing gifts in the Farm shop. By purchasing tickets, you are also supporting the Down Syndrome Centre.

Introducing a NEW Emerald Park Christmas event for 2024, Jingle Fest! Filled with magic and wonder, this new event is sure to delight and excite all ages.

An Emerald Park Jingle Fest ticket provides full day access so you can arrive at any time to enjoy the festivities at your leisure, including a walk through our Festive Fairy Woods light tunnel, a Christmas singalong on our Candy Lane Train, access to our Enchanted Entertainment Tent with snow and bubble fun, special performances from The Hollybops, Boogie Woogies and Hoopixie, meet-and-greets with Christmas characters, Santa letter posting, a fun-filled festive live show ‘The Christmas Star’ in our Big Top ‘Tree’ Tent, full access to our zoo, playground and over 10 rides & attractions in our Jolly Junior Zone!

A visit with Santa Claus can also be added to your festive day out. This includes a magical visit and a special Christmas coin that can be redeemed in our present room for a gift. Santa Claus visit is optional and additional charges apply. Please select your preferred ticket option at checkout.

-Your magical winter adventure begins the minute you arrive to Emerald Park. Check into the cosy admissions building and set off to discover Jingle Fest, be sure to spot our special Elf cams along the way!

-As you continue along your adventure, enjoy some singing friends, and look on in awe and wonder as you find yourself within the Festive Fairy Woods light tunnel.

-Making your way into our Jolly Junior Zone, warm up those vocal cords as you take off on the Candy Lane Train for a special Christmas singalong with the conductor. All I want for Christmas is Choo! 

-Magic is certainly all around.. enjoy our Pow Wow playground and over 10 rides & attractions in our Jolly Junior Zone, for as long as you like during your winter adventure. Visit our Enchanted Entertainment Tent for meet-and-greets with Christmas characters, gingerbread making, scheduled live performances, and snow and bubble fun in between. Don’t forget to post your letter to Santa!

-Next up, detour to the Big Top ‘Tree’ Tent beside The Lodge, for a festive 25-minute live show. Join Twinkles and Sparkles on a panto-tastic adventure of laughs and silliness as they discover the Christmas Star has been stolen. Without the Christmas Star, the magic of Christmas will be lost forever. Will Twinkles save Christmas? Will Sparkles defeat the bad guy? Will Rudolph ever fly again? Come sing along with the goodies and boo the baddies in a show filled with Christmas spirit and Panto fun.

-Finish off your winter adventure by sitting down to a tasty, hot, meal in The Lodge restaurant. Why not top it off with a delicious hot chocolate? Tis’ the season after all!

Santa Visit :

It’s the question everyone is wondering, am I on the naughty or nice list? Head to The Lodge to meet with Santa Claus! Santa will give each good girl and boy a special Christmas coin to exchange in our present room for a wonderful Christmas gift. Santa Claus visit is optional. Santa is back at Dublin Zoo for Christmas 2024! Come and visit Santa in his magical Grotto at Dublin Zoo. 

All guests who visit Santa’s Grotto will receive:
