Please be aware that though you book a 1 hour time slot, typical visit time for this event is 2 hours. 

Once again, Arigna Mining Experience comes alive with a festive atmosphere. The visit to Santa in Arigna is a unique, exciting fun-filled event for all the family. Entry to the event includes a visit to Santa in his Underground Grotto, a present for every family member, and admission to enterntainment shows.

Please Note:

  • tours of the mine are not included in the ‘Santa’s Underground Grotto’ event 
  • due to safety guidelines, there will be a one way system in place for the event to ensure the safety of all our visitors
  • all facilites are indoors/undercover, but the mine and enterntainment area is cold in the winter! It is advisable to wear warm, seasonally appropriate clothing
  • there is no resident photographer so be sure to bring your own camera

ACTIVITIES:

Let’s get physical! Under the guidance of your instructor, your team will be taken on a unique and fun adventure around the H&B course; an outdoor activity unlike anything else in the team-building market!

Activities will last for 90 mins and everyone must work together to go over, under, around and through over obstacles from HELL & BACK and ‘Ireland’s Fittest Family’ TV show; including Barrell Challenge, Tyre Zone and the Eliminator for a unique team photograph!

Teamwork is essential in this challenge, so everyone should work together and encourage each other to get through all the mental, physical and team-building challenges on this one-of-a-kind obstacle course!

Laser Tag (age 8+)

ACTIVITIES:

Don your combats and for 90 minutes, face off against your opponent in a series of high-tech laser games, where you and your teammates must infiltrate your enemy’s defensive line in a custom-built outdoor setting with numerous shelters, huts, cubbyholes & outhouses to stake out in!

30 minutes required each way to get to/from Laser Tag Centre, to get changed into combat gear and health & safety briefing etc.

Option to add to your booking @ €50 a seated area under Parachute Tent for birthday cake etc.

Suitable for ages 8+. Minimum of 8 children required, maximum number of children = 16.

IMPORTANT: Laser Tag unfortunately cannot be played in heavy rain. A full refund is provided if weather conditions prevent Laser Tag going ahead.!

If you want your child’s birthday party to go down in history as the most epic party of all time!! Then Squirrel’s Scramble is your answer.

Come to Squirrel’s Scramble for a legendary birthday party your child will remember!

Your group (all participants must be min age 8 years) will have an hour and a half of zipping and swinging through the trees followed by half an hour in one of our sheltered party areas with wooden seats and tables. We don’t cater for food or drink but can highly recommend the food stalls at the Killruddery Farm Market (Saturdays only). All known local pizza places deliver to us and you are more than welcome to bring your own food as well if you like.

BIRTHDAY PARTY FAQS

Q: How do I book?

Click on the book now button at the top of this page. Booking birthday parties is no different from making an ordinary booking. All groups can avail of our party areas, no need to reserve them.

Q: How long does it last?

1.5 hours on the course and a half hour in the party area.

Q: Do I need to reserve a party area?

No, it is not necessary to reserve the party areas, we have 4 to choose from.

Q: What if there’s bad weather?

We operate in all weather conditions except yellow wind warnings. If there’s a yellow wind warning, we’ll reschedule your booking. Please dress appropriately for the weather.

Q: I’m not sure of exact numbers?

Book an approximate number, if you have one or two more or less that’s ok, we’ll either reimburse you if you let us know 48 hours before your booking or you can pay for 1 or 2 extra on site on the day by cash or card. Please note as per our booking t&cs we do not offer refunds or rescheduling after 48 hours prior to your start time.

Q: Do you cater for food?

Nope, we don’t offer food. But you’ve got some choices: bring your own or order from the Pizza Shed at Killruddery and get a free pizza for the birthday person(s). Lots of other pizza places deliver on site too. On Saturdays, check out Killruddery’s farmer’s market for more grub options. Or, you can always go to their restaurant and coffee shop. For Pizza Shed’s menu, head to pizza.killruddery.com/.

Q: I can only book in 20 kids but I have more than that coming…

You can book into two time slots. Each time slot can only accommodate up to 20 people, but if you have a group of more than 20 people, you can book into the next time slot and we will refund you the difference so you can still get the group rate.

Q: Can I get the other parents to sign a waiver for their own kids?

Yes you can, you will find all our waivers here they can print one out, sign it and give it to you to bring on the day.

Q: Can I add archery?

Yes you can, it will add an extra hour onto your time, and an extra €4 per person, min charge €48. To book archery go ahead and make your booking for Squirrel’s Scramble and then email us with your booking number at info@squirrelsscramble.ie to request archery and make payment. Groups for archery are maximum size 15 and minimum age 10.

Q: Can I bring a barbeque?

Unfortunately not, for safety and insurance reasons.

Q: Will there be an instructor to look after our group?

There will be instructors looking after all customers at Squirrel’s Scramble but not assigned individually to one group. Parents/guardians must supervise the kids in the group.

Q: Is there an age limit for birthday parties?

Yes there is, birthday parties at Squirrel’s Scramble are for age 8+. Every child 7 and under must be accompanied by a paying adult each in gear on the course. We recommend having 9th birthday parties with us.

Make your birthday one to remember by celebrating here with us in Waterworld. 

Bookings can be made via our booking system 

For a full list of all the attractions from The Rapids and Pirate Ship to the Waves and Multi Lane Slide at Water World Bundoran click here

  • Party bookings – 8 persons minimum to 25 maximum.
  • The party booking allows 2 hours in the Waterpark and 1 hour in the party room. There is no party host provided, parents/gaurdians are responsible for hosting the party.
  • If parents/guardians do not require the party room, you are welcome to book ‘group booking’ tickets through the website.
  • Waterworld ratios: A minimum ratio of 1 adult (over 18) to every 10 children OVER the age of 8 (9+) and this adult must enter the water.
    • Children aged 8 and under the ratio will remain 1 adult to every 2 children and this adult must enter the water. 
    • Children with additional needs/specific requirements or require 1:1 assistance must have a guardian with them at all times. 
    • Children aged 12 and over can enter the water without an adult/child ratio but the parent/guardians must remain on the premises.
    • Changing rooms must be supervised by a parent/guardian on entry and exit times.
  • Post swim, please gather your group and exit via reception, please make your way to the party room (located at Waterworld Gift Shop, the playpark side of the building.
  • Parents/guardians
    • You can supply your own birthday cake, food, snacks, minerals in the Party room. You will need to provide paper plates and cutlery. ‘Take away’ food purchased locally is permitted. Alcohol is strictly prohibited.
  • We ask that all rubbish is gathered and the bins provided are used.
  • Waterworld operates a 50c coin return locker system and 50c hair dryers.
  • There are certain height restrictions on some of our slides.
  • Upon arrival at Waterworld, the party organiser should have tickets ready for scanning.
  • Swim caps must be worn in the pool arena.
  • If parents/guardians desire to leave food/cake etc in the party room ahead of entrance to the waterpark, please let staff know at reception and arrangements can be made.
  • Please ensure you and the party are aware of the rules and regulations here at Waterworld available on our website.
  • There is private access from the party room to the park adjacent, parents/guardians are welcome to allow the party use the park while in the party room.
  • Please note, the park is not owned by WaterWorld Bundoran.
  • Please ensure you have correct numbers for your party as no refunds or ticket changes will be permitted.
