Each year we have a large number of school tours visiting Jump 4 Joy Adventure Centre Westmeath from all over the country and it is growing each summer. Our ideal location in the heart of the country, just off the M6 motorway, means we’re easy to get to and easy to find. That makes for a lot less stress for the bus driver and teachers.

We have several different packages available to suit groups of all sizes starting from just €5 per child up to €13 per child and all of our packages are put together with parents and teachers in mind. We know that the cost of school trips can be expensive for parents and stressful for teachers. That’s why we feel it’s best to offer choice… then everyone’s happy 🙂

What we offer

The spacious open farm offers plenty of room for school tours and groups and we have ample tractors, karts and diggers for everyone. The indoor and outdoor pet areas offer a large variety of animals that children get to hold and feed from the usual farmyard variety to some more exotic such as llamas, emus, alpacas, pot bellied pigs etc.

Our open farm is a safe place for children to roam and learn about the animals. Children love to pet the smaller animals and also we have regular feeding times for the larger animals. Everyone will get a trip on the Kia Ora Mini Farm fire engine and unlimited access to all other activities. Children can learn about our green energy at the farm, see eggs in our incubator and learn how they hatch, visit our new arrivals and even milk a cow.

Children on School Tours can relax and enjoy their lunch in our large indoor school tour room or outdoors at our picnic tables while the teachers and bus driver are invited to visit our coffee shop for complimentary refreshments.

We have plenty of activities here to keep them all busy and we encourage teamwork and cooperation throughout the day. Our ratio is 10 children to 1 instructor so you can be sure they are being well supervised.

Teachers

You should know that teachers go free! We even offer teachers a complementary tea/coffee and scone in our relaxing coffee shop while our fully trained and qualified instructors take the children off to have fun and get very muddy. Of course if you want to be involved and do the activities yourself, you are very welcome to do so!

Food

To make things easier for you we can provide a tasty BBQ for all when finished the activities. Gets the bellies full so they will be tired and sleep on the bus home!

Looking for somewhere new and exciting to visit for your school tour this year? Malahide Play Centre is newly opened since April 2015 and offers 3 floors of fun-filled play equipment, including 3 large slides, a ball pit, trampoline, rope climbs and lots more for the kids to explore. 

The play-centre also offers a coffee dock area where teachers can be stationed. They provide full supervision at a ratio of 1 to 10 where the staff will not only supervise your children but will interact, play with and encourage them to explore our frame and get involved. Teachers are very welcome to take part in activities throughout the day.

At Malahide Play Centre, they insist on the highest standards of safety and cleanliness. All of the staff are certified in paediatric first aid and fire safety training. The Play Centre team are fun, enthusiastic and have a genuine love for children. They will designate staff to ensure you have a stress-free school tour.

The National Reptile Zoo offers an experience like no other for your school tour or group visit. Not just entertainment but also a fun and unique way to learn.

For an hour and a half you will have your own dedicated keeper to take you on a guided discovery walk through the zoo.

You will then get to step into a tropical walk-through exhibit and experience what it is like in the South American jungle.

On to our Animal Encounter Zone where you come up close and personal to our snakes, lizards, turtles and all things scaly (and maybe some creepy crawlies too)!
