No matter the weather, we combine fun with learning on Ireland’s only indoor ski slopes. Our slopes use a unique revolving technology that simulates real ski runs, allowing skiers to get in realistic length ski runs.

Whether experienced skier or budding enthusiast, we welcome everyone to join in the fun and develop their slope skills with us. For those who have never skied before, our slopes are by far the easiest and safest way to learn. Once you get on the slope and hold onto the bar, you’ll be on your way! Our expert instructors are beside skiers every step of the way and with a remote control they can control the speed and height of the slope. Like all good sports instructors, they can pre-empt any falls and quickly bring the slopes to a stop at a touch of a button.

Highlighting the positive benefits that come from physical activity and movement is central to what we do, and our aim is to for lifelong associations to be formed. The social element is not to be underestimated either – through adventurous team challenges with their friends, the children will learn to ski through play.
All equipment is included to get suited and booted, but we recommend wearing comfy sports gear and that thick sports/ski socks are brought along to wear underneath the boots.

School Trips

We welcome groups of every ability to the centre, providing a safe environment on Ireland’s only indoor ski slope no matter the weather. The exact duration will depend on the size of your group. Each slope accommodates 3-4 skiers at a time, rotating groups every 10 minutes to give leg muscles a well-deserved break. 

Transport to and from the centre is not provided and we recommend that children bring their own snacks and/or packed lunch.

A bold, new live theatrical experience for families, Hansel, Gretel & The Witch reimagines the classic fairytale through a magical Halloween lens. Set in the atmospheric Ambassador Theatre, this immersive production is designed to become Dublin’s signature annual Halloween event — creating unforgettable memories for children and offering a high-quality seasonal attraction for locals and visitors alike.

Written & Directed by Rob Murphy, the show features an all-star cast including Eurovision legend Niamh Kavanagh, George McMahon (Fair City), Sarah Harvey, Ariana Callan and Adam Finn.

Lost in an eerie enchanted forest, Hansel and Gretel must summon their courage to outwit a cunning witch and escape her candy-coated lair. Along the way, they’re joined by forest creatures, leading the audience on a journey filled with:

RETURNING CHRISTMAS 2021, SEE YOU THEN….

Unfortunately there will be no Christmas event at Lullymore Heritage Park for 2020, see you next year!

 

Santa arrives in Lullymore on Saturday 30th of November and departs for the North Pole on Monday 23rd of December 2019. A magical experience for both young and old is guaranteed as the park is transformed into a Winter Wonderland of family fun with some very special guests to entertain you along the way! Your 2019 Christmas visit will include:

A memorable visit to Santa and a gift from the busy Elves in their workshop. Funky Forest Indoor Centre becomes a Winter Wonderland and don’t forget to have fun with the elves when you visit here! A Festive Train trip – the Lullymore Christmas Express will take you on a magical trip through ancient woodlands, glassy lakes and a beautiful peatland landscape. Christmas Holograms in old style thatched cottage, Crib scene in Early Christian Centre and illuminated walkway to Fairy Bower. Animals such as donkeys, goats and miniature horses will be in paddocks beside Indoor Centre. Welcome Santa and his merry friends as they arrive on the Lullymore Christmas Express Road Train at 10am weekends and 2pm Wednesday to Friday.

Dorothy’s Easter Trail at Fota House, Arboretum & Gardens Cork

Join us for a breath of fresh air this Easter at Fota House, Arboretum & Gardens, one of Cork’s most idyllic locations, on Friday 19th and Sat 20th April. The magnificent Arboretum will be the setting for Dorothy’s Trail, which will bring the history and beauty of Fota alive for everyone.  Amongst the trees and wildlife, follow the woodland path, leading you to your very own Easter treat!

This self-guided Easter Trail follows in the footsteps of the young Dorothy Bell, Fota’s former owner, as she explores her imagination in the gardens. All aboard! Easter steam trains are back on the Stradbally Woodland Railway for 2019! Trains running Easter Sunday and Monday, April 21st and 22nd from 12-4pm. 

Tickets priced at €3 for children, €7 for adults with little ones under 5 going free. Tickets sold on the day at the platform and valid for as many trips as you like. 

Our train is fully wheelchair accesible.

Experience a family day out with a difference on Ireland’s first volunteer-run heritage railway.

Based on feedback from our Spooky Hollow Event last October, we have simplified the registration process for Hoppy Hollow to facilitate faster entry. We have also introduced a fast track queue for those who purchase online. Online Child ticket holders (and their accompanying adults) will join a separate fast track queue and once you present your paper ticket or e-ticket (on your phone) you will be granted entry. Adults pay on the door. Based on the demand for our last event and the fact that we are only running one day our recommendation is to advance purchase. Please allow some time for queuing as is the norm for these types of events.
