Book your next children’s party in the best party venue in Kerry. We will arrange your childs Crag Cave birthday party with all the fun and excitement you would expect. Enjoy the day with all of your requirements catered for including – Hot and cold food, play & photo.

Play and Party

Price €13.95 per child – Duration 90 minutes

Includes one hours play in Crazy Cave & half hour in the party room. Children are served hot and cold food (nuggets, cocktail sausages & chips ,drink, popcorn, crisps & sweets) Unlimited diluted orange drink whilst playing, a group photo of the party, two complimentary tea or coffee plus a free return visit for the birthday child.

Minimum of 10 children, maximum of 30. Maximum of 4 adults per 10 children)

You cant bring food into the play area other than the Birthday Cake.

Balloons & decorations are not permitted.

Please note you cannot wear high heeled shoes in the play area.

We cater for school tours (pre-school, primary). We can provide a guided tour or if you wish the teachers can bring the children around at their own pace. 

If you do choose a guided tour, you can still go around the farm again after the tour – no restrictions on how many times you visit the animals and playground.

 The children get to experience farm life as many children from towns would not get the opportunity to do so.  The children get to hold whatever baby animals we have and also get a bucket of feed to go around the whole farm and feed the rest of the animals.

We have playgrounds throughout the farm (Climbing wall (small children), slides, Zip-line, treehouse, windmill slide, see-saw, obstacle course, 5 a side soccer pitch, hay barn where they can jump from bail to bail, go karts, bikes etc.).  We also provide pony rides for every child during the tour FOC.  We have 2 large indoor benches where the children can eat their lunch.

About Us

Caragh Open Farm is a family run Open Farm in Caragh, Naas, Co Kildare. The farm is spread over approx. 5 acres. It was once a working farm but we decided to diversify into the Open Farm as we noticed a gap in the market.  Since opening our doors in June 2011 we have grown from strength to strength increasing our animal numbers to nearly 30 different types.  In July 2021 we opened our Café which can seat up to 30 people. 

As well as the pet farm we offer a lovely scenic walk for the whole family to enjoy.  Family outings are what make childhood memories so don’t forget the camera!  The most frequent compliment we receive is that we are warm, friendly and helpful and that the farm is not over commercialised.  We are mindful of costs especially for bigger families, so we encourage picnics.

PLEASE NOTE WE DO NOT ALLOW DOGS ON OUR FARM AS WE HAVE MANY SMALL ANIMALS RUNNING AROUND THE FARM FREELY.

Opening times

We are open from the end of March to October.  (March, April, May, June, September, October Weekends and Bank Holidays only 11am to 5pm), July and August 7 days per week.  11am to 5pm

Café ASTA

We opened our café in July 2022. It is named with the initials of our 4 children.  Our Café offers customers a variety of delicious food in a relaxing environment.  Our café seats up to 30 people indoors with extra seating for alfresco dining. 

We offer delicious barista coffee, soup, paninis, toasted sandwiches, sausage rolls, chips, chicken nuggets, sausages.  We also have a wide range of sweet treats.  Please be aware that our menu changes with the seasons.

We are easy to find situated close to Naas and Newbridge in Co. Kildare – about a 40 minute drive from Dublin, 30 mins from Portlaoise.  We have a large carpark that can accommodate both cars and buses.  Our farm is buggy and wheelchair friendly with paths that are easy to navigate. Our carpark is gravel so please be aware of this.

Are you and your family farm lovers? Why not have a Caragh Open Farm birthday party!

What do you get?  

“The normal stay is 2 hours.  We are mindful to keep the cost of parties down so we don’t supply food, you can bring all your own food/drinks/cakes/ utensils etc. Food can be ordered from local chip shop/pizzeria.  We will reserve a bench for you. The children get to hold whatever baby animals we have and also get a bucket of feed to go around the whole farm and feed the rest of the animals”.

Caragh Open Farm is run by Ferghal and Siobhan Malone. Looking for a great school tour venue this year? Why not have a Fota Island School tour, a school tour full of adventure!

School Tours.

What’s included in your day?

  • Your day begins at 10am and finishes at 2:30pm. A half an hour lunch takes place in the middle of the day. Start/Finish times can change if needed.
  • Pupils engage in Kombat archery & Find the sniper (hide and seek in camouflage suits), Bushcraft & Survival skills (shelter building & fire lighting).
  • Then onto the famous Obstacle course. This activity is intended to give confidence and build team-bonding between the students. We ensure everyone makes it through together.
  • Before finishing up we give the students a ‘fun’ lap of the course which allows them to run through and do whichever obstacles they choose.

 

School Tours are €31 per student. Tours run for approximately 4.5 hours and can be tailored to your requirements.

  • Teachers and Carers go for free!
  • Tailored packages available for post primary schools.
  • We suggest students wear old clothes that they don’t mind getting dirty and bring a change of clothes to travel home in.
  • We have a tap with safe drinking water on-site. We would be very grateful, if possible, for the use of reusable water bottles only.

 

Facilities are in place to prevent the spread of COVID-19, please avail of them at every opportunity. We replicate the school pod system outdoors. We ensure our staff have the experience to deliver fun in a safe environment.

Looking for a fun and exciting birthday party experience in Cork? Why not have a Fota Island birthday party!

What is included on the day?

  • Induction upon arrival.
  • Begin your birthday adventure with ‘Nerf Wars’ or ‘Kombat-Archery’.
  • Then onto survival skills and bushcraft, building camps and lighting fires to roast s’mores.
  • The day ends with a muddy finale on the Obstacle Course.
  • Each birthday party has their own tent to blow out candles and enjoy cake if you wish to bring one!

Birthday Parties are offered on Saturdays and Sundays.

  • There is a choice of: ‘Party Alpha’ which runs from 9:30am – 1pm and ‘Party Bravo’ which runs from 10am – 1:30pm.

A party is €300 for 15 Children with €30 per additional child.

  • Facilities are in place to prevent the spread of COVID-19, please avail of them at every opportunity. Fota Adventure is aware of your safety needs and has the experience to deliver fun in a thoroughly safe environment.

Please arrive 5 minutes before the start time, in your active clothes.
