The Helix have announced that this year’s Christmas Panto will be the family favourite Beauty and the Beast, with Ireland’s premier tenor, Paul Byrom leading a superb cast in the magical production which runs from Friday 24th November 2017 to Sunday 21st January 2018.
Bigger and better this year, TheatreworX Productions return to The Helix this Christmas for with their 10th anniversary show. A hilarious adaptation of the magical fairytale Beauty and the Beast, The Helix Pantowill captivate audiences with a magical story, wonderful scenery, lively music, song and dance and of course, comedy genius for all the family to enjoy.
Taking to the pantomime stage for the first time, Paul Byrom will play the role of the over confident hunter, Gaston. Paul said, “After years of recording, touring and performing in shows, I’m delighted to tick the panto stage off my bucket list, I’m especially looking forward to play such a fun role as Gaston”.
Creative Director of TheatreworX Productions and producer of The Helix Panto, Claire Tighe said, “I am so very excited and proud as punch to be producing TheatreworX’s 10th anniversary Helix Panto. We’re really looking forward to getting back into The Helix to transform it into our magical panto land again with spectacular sets, colourful costumes, stunning special effects and a ridiculously talented cast. And just what did make those tracks in the snow? Find out as the band’s playful humour and trademark folk and trad melodies celebrate some of the things we love to see and do when the world turns white.
Tracks in the Snow was commissioned and produced by The Ark as part of our work to create high-quality live music experiences crafted especially for young audiences. The show premiered at The Ark in Dec 2015.

About The Henry Girls…
The Henry Girls are three sisters from Co Donegal. Their music is infused with the rich cultural heritage of their native Donegal but with a transatlantic flavour.
Their shimmering harmonies and delicate musicianship have been revered since their early days but in the last number of years they have been renowned for their songwriting skills also. They have successfully learned to interweave their traditional roots with contemporary elements, earning them both commercial success and spectacular critical acclaim on both sides of the Atlantic. They are renowned for their captivating, heartwarming and often moving live performances. Those fortunate enough to have seen them perform live onstage will all agree with the sentiments of The Irish Times who simply described the experience as ʻa joy’.
The sisters have toured and collaborated on various other music projects,most noably Mary Black, Imelda May, Clannad, Sharon Shannon, The Hothouse Flowers, Donal Lunny, Altan and Dervish. They were nominated for an IFTA for Best Original Score on award-winning children’s film ʻA Shine of Rainbows’.
