Santa is coming back to Clonakilty this Christmas!

Get ready to be enchanted as The Polar Express returns, bigger and more magical than ever before!

ASD/Sensory time slots will take place on Saturday 2nd December 11:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m. and are available to book on the separate calendar below.

Join Santa and Mrs Claus, all the elves, and a host of festive friends for an extraordinary indoor and outdoor, walk-through Christmas adventure designed to delight the entire family. Be immersed in the Christmas magic with sing-alongs, interactive storylines, and lots of excitement that will captivate all the family. Meet Mrs Claus who has a special request for all the young visitors.

This year Santa is delighted to meet you and your family in his cosy Christmas cabin. Engage in heart-warming conversations with Santa and capture precious photos. Visit the mystical magical forest and hop aboard the Choo Choo Road Train. Keep your eyes peeled for Jack Frost and The Grinch who you might spot on Mount Crumpit!

Twinkling lights and seasonal magic will fill the air as you explore the Villages of Light and see miniature West Cork as you’ve never seen it before. Follow the model trains and have fun trying out the remote control boats and mini diggers.

Santa, the Model Village staff, and the team at Karl O’Connor Creative are working hard to make sure this is a magical and unforgettable Christmas experience for all the family. 

Booking Guidelines:

  • The experience will take 45 minutes, after which families are welcome to enjoy the Village of Lights and outdoor activities. We suggest planning an hour and a half visit; please keep this in mind when selecting your date and time.
  • The ASD-friendly booking times are Saturday 2nd December from 11:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m. Please use the ASD-friendly specific booking link and check the FAQs below for more information.
  • Please tick the wheelchair option if there is one or more in your party with a wheelchair. Please do not tick the wheelchair option for prams and buggies.

This Winter, the gorgeous woodlands at Fota Island Resort in Cork will be transformed by Santa and his magical elf helpers into a dramatic and exciting Christmas experience for the whole family. Imagine will begin the 28th of November and runs until the 23rd of December.

We are happy to give you a little hint about what the Imagine experience will involve, but as the element of surprise is essential to the magic of Christmas, we can’t give away everything at this stage!

What we can tell you is that there will be a Christmas market, an interactive North Pole experience, a train journey that will take you to our winter wonderland walkway which culminates in a magical visit to Santa in his snow covered log cabin in the heart of the enchanted Christmas woods. You will enjoy a warming hot chocolate along the way and of course there is lots of other unexpected festive fun during the Imagine experience!

Remember to dress ‘Christmassy’ and although the majority of the experience is indoors, there are outdoor elements so dress accordingly!

We recommend that you arrive about 30 minutes before you are due to meet Santa, but you will have the use of all of the facilities on the farm from when you arrive for as long as you wish to stay

The farm will also be open to the general public and you can visit the animals and experience our Winter Wonderland without going to Santa.

Rumleys Open Farm provides a great location for many different occasions from birthdays to school tours and an excellent day out for all the family. The farm has a wide range of activities for children of all ages and has many exotic and domestic animals.

While their is fun aplenty, the ethos of the farm is to provide an educational experience to all visitors, young and old. As we have become a more urbanised race, we have lost touch with nature and with how our food is cultivated and how it ends up on our supermarket shelves.

As well as an open farm Rumley’s is a real working farm, operating 7 days a week buying and selling produce and animals. The complete food cycle is on view from the farm all the way to our shop where you can buy produce from the farm.
