Get hands-on working with the Chocolate Elves to get ready for Christmas!

This Christmas, Come and Join in with the elves in a Magical, Fun-filled Chocolate-Making workshop at The Chocolate Garden of Ireland.   Enjoy a live link with the North Pole, in contact with both the Elf Workshop there and a live link with Santa himself who will address the boys and girls personally – but only if they are on the good list!

Roll up your sleeves and make a chocolate Christmas figure to take home; decorate a chocolate bar for Santa…   And there’ll be lots of tastings and chocolate fun in between.  To finish off, enjoy a warm drink of real hot chocolate.  Trainee Elves will receive a Certificate.

Causey Farm Meath

Causey Farm comes alive with a festive atmosphere – as we celebrate Christmas with all the traditional charm and magic you’d expect. There’s a chill in the air. The farm animals are in for the winter and the baby lambs will soon be born. We hear laughter and “Wows” across the old farmyard – the time has come to celebrate and we do it in style here at Causey Farm.

All the sheds have different Christmas-themed events and everyone moves from place to place to sample each new experience.

Christmas at Causey Farm Includes:

  • Visiting Santa’s house and help Mrs Claus pack his bag for the big journey.
  • Slide down into the toy workshop and play with the toys Santa has ready for packing.
  • Make your way through the Elves’ door to Santa’s Parlour.
  • Listen carefully, is that a noise on the roof? You’d never know who might arrive down the chimney – and of course he has a gift for all the children – Hope your name is on one of his parcels!
  • Follow the Bethlehem Trail to the stable where Mary and Joseph take care of their new arrival, watched over by the cows, donkeys, sheep and lambs.
  • Visit Christmas Cottage to experience an old Irish Christmas; Make a wish as you stir the pudding!
  • And of course don’t forget to Visit the reindeer as they relax before their big night.
  • Each Christmas event lasts one and a half hours!

The Santa Experience will be operating in Limerick, Cork & Tallaght for 2019. Unfortunately we will not be in the Ilac Centre, Dublin 1 this year but we would love to see you and yours in Tallaght (Kilnamanagh) Dublin 24!

Over the past 8 years The Santa Experience in association with Dunnes Stores has provided children and adults alike with a magical journey to Santa’s House via the North Pole where they will visit:

  • The Elves Post office
  • Santa’s Stable
  • The Sleigh Station
  • The Artic
  • Santa’s House

Everyone will be entertained throughout by energetic elves who will tell everyone exactly how Santa, his reindeer and all the elves prepare for Christmas.

Children will be amazed by what Santa knows about them, thanks to the Santa Needs to Know forms, filled in at the time of booking.

Tickets cost €12 per child & €6 per adult and can be booked online in advance to ensure you get your preferred time and date. Each ticket includes meeting and interacting with elves and Santa, travelling through 5 fun filled festive rooms, and a beautiful gift to treasure.

A professional photographer will be on hand to capture all magical moments and you can order 8 x 10 framed prints immediately afterwards if you wish. The first print is priced at €14 and subsequent prints will be priced at €6 per print

Christmas at Rancho Reilly Carlow sees the farm transformed into a sparkling Santa village. The farm comes alive with a wonderful festive atmosphere and the scent of pine and log burning stoves fill the air. When you arrive you are taken into the Elves Workshop where the bubbly Elves will help you make a special decoration for your tree, paint your face like Rudolph and then make sure you have fun letting Santa know you are on the way to see him!

Then it’s time to jump on board the Rancho Reilly Magical Musical Christmas Carriage! Grab an instrument, play and sing along to your hearts content as you enjoy your trip over to Santa’s Log Cabins where Santa and some of his Elves and Reindeer will be waiting for you!

While waiting your turn to see the big man himself you get to pet the small animals, write Santa a little note and have a peek inside his bedroom! Then after no time at all it’s time to go in to see the big man himself, “Santa”Santa will take his time chatting to the children before giving them a gift. When you’ve said goodbye to Santa go make a wish at the Magic Wishing Well. Jump into Santa’s Sleigh for some fun photos, poke your head through the Photo board for some more! Don’t forget to say Hi to the Reindeer ‘Glimmer’ & ‘Shimmer’ too! Christmas at Rancho Reilly Carlow is a super experience for all ages!

Its not everyday that you arrive at a farm decorated with thousands of twinkling lights, meet Santa & his deer Dancer & Prancer or see a crib with a live cow & donkey, except of course when you visit Ireland’s Lapland at Glendeer Pet Farm!

Ireland’s Lapland has something for everyone, young & old alike. The children get their little bag of food to feed the animals as they make their way over to see Santa, have a chat with him & receive a gift. Adults can treat themselves to fresh coffee/cappucino & homemade snacks in the warm surroundings of the cosy coffee shop.

Glendeer is perfect even on those wet or snowy days with plenty to entertain the kids including the INDOOR slide area, the soft play toddler area. If you follow the trail through the Winter Wonderland, you’ll find the secret sand pit. Just remember to wrap up warm!

Glendeer don’t provide a Santa photo but bring along your phone or camera and Santa’s helper will take a family picture for you. This year Santa arrives by sleigh on Sat 1st Dec at 5pm & will be at the farm every day until the 23rd Dec. Special rates for groups of 20 & over, catered for by appointment during the day (school groups etc).

Adults € 8, Children € 16 (includes visit to Santa & gift), Babies under 18 months are free unless they want a gift from Santa then it is €8.

Mon to Fri 4pm – 7pm, Sat & Sun 12pm – 7pm.

You can choose your arrival time and when you get there, you’ll receive a numbered ticket for visiting Santa. While waiting, you can feed the animals including Dancer and Prancer, look around all the Christmas scenes and let the kids play. When it’s your turn to visit Santa you will be called by number, so you won’t be queuing for long.

Every year, Santa plans a stop at Slieve Aughty Centre, where he enjoys a soft chair next to a cosy fire in his cabin while he visits with children from around the country.  Each family gets scheduled personal time with Santa and a small gift.
Before and/or after your Santa visit there are lots of other things to do. Pet Santa’s “pony” reindeer and the donkeys at the live nativity, browse the Christmas Shop, chat with other families over a cup of hot chocolate and home-made pancakes, and enjoy the festive music.  The kids can make some crafts, get their faces painted, and meet a friendly polar bear while waiting for storytelling (all included in your entry cost!).

Save some room for home-made treats and organic mulled wine at The Three Tower Organic Kitchen, open all day .

Slieve Aughty Centre’s Christmas Festival offers something new and different, with live characters, storytelling, arts and crafts, shows, animals, the Snow Queen and more. The Helix have announced that this year’s Christmas Panto will be the family favourite Beauty and the Beast, with Ireland’s premier tenor, Paul Byrom leading a superb cast in the magical production which runs from Friday  24th November 2017 to Sunday 21st January 2018.

Bigger and better this year, TheatreworX Productions return to The Helix this Christmas for with their 10th anniversary show. A hilarious adaptation of the magical fairytale Beauty and the Beast, The Helix Panto will captivate audiences with a magical story, wonderful scenery, lively music, song and dance and of course, comedy genius for all the family to enjoy.

Taking to the pantomime stage for the first time, Paul Byrom will play the role of the over confident hunter, Gaston. Paul said, “After years of recording, touring and performing in shows, I’m delighted to tick the panto stage off my bucket list, I’m especially looking forward to play such a fun role as Gaston”.

The Cheerios Panto celebrates its 10th year at The Tivoli Theatre this year with the spectacular Sleeping Beauty. Sammy Sausages and Buffy (Alan Hughes & Rob Murphy), are back with another hilarious adventure, following on from last year’s magical production of Aladdin, their fastest selling panto. Priding themselves on entertaining the whole family from 3 to 93, The Cheerios panto has been called “Panto Perfection”. Written once again by Ireland’s foremost panto writer, Karl Broderick, in his 20th panto creation, it promises to be their best ever panto and runs from 7 December – 14 January.

An Evil Queen casts a spell on the baby princess and she is destined to prick her finger on a spinning wheel. Can the Handsome Prince save the day? Will Sammy Sausages defeat the Evil Queen? And will Buffy finally get her hands on a daddy? Maybe now that she’s been called ‘Queen of the Dames!’

You are invited to come and build a rocket that will BLAST OFF and take us on a magical adventure. Once inside their homemade rocket children are treated to a magical shadow show as they journey to the moon! Come with us all the way, up there, into outer space!

Inspired by a Haiku of the same title by Basho Matsuo, Moon Woke Me Up is an interactive theatrical adventure to space for ages 3-5, using a wonderful blend of performance and interactive drama, construction play and sensory explorations.
